In search of a pink dolphin ......

And we did see some - really!!  It's in this photo somewhere - just below the surface!  Apparently the ones we saw were 'grande' for this area, but sadly not large enough to still be above the surface by the time we got the camera poised!  Trust me - they are pink!

But we got to see yet another river port and all the life activity along the shores.  We boarded our boat on the Itaya River - which seems to be the main area for cargo, and particularly timber.  There were lot of large vessels tied up along the shore, but the junction between Itaya and Amazon Rivers isn't very wide right now.  It seems that many of these vessels need to wait for the river levels to rise in the wet season.

Also interesting to see how they have adapted for changing river levels.
